Integrated supply chains, the strength of the Amadori Group

There are different supply chain models

The short supply chain minimizes middlemen, often reaching direct contact between producer and consumer.
The long supply chain involves more steps and longer distances.
The integrated supply chain allows a single company to manage the entire process, from the selection of raw materials through the entire production stage to final distribution, ensuring total control, safety and consistent quality.

Our integrated supply chain system for poultry meat and pork in the Lenti Supply Chain Excellence range is built to ensure quality and safety.

Thanks to a network of feed mills, directly managed or contracted farms dedicated to the different life stages of the animals, and sites such as hatcheries, processing plants, logistics platforms and branches, each stage is monitored and certified. In this journey, spread throughout Italy, innovation, care and traceability come together to bring excellent and extremely fresh products to the tables.

Here we carefully manage the preliminary stage of egg hatching and the early life stages of the chicks, with precision and in compliance with current regulations.
Breedings
All animals are raised on organized farms, both directly managed and under agreement, which provide them with the best climatic and bio-security conditions; here the animals roam on the ground and, in the case of the Il Campese and Amadori BIO chicken supply chains, also outdoors.

THE PIG SUPPLY CHAIN

Following the acquisition of the Lenti brand, the Amadori Group has also integrated the traced and controlled 100% Italian pork supply chain.

Feed mills
In the Amadori Group's feed mills, formulations to best feed the pigs in its supply chain are also studied and produced, selecting top-quality raw materials and differentiating recipes according to the age and life stage of the animals.
Breeding farms
These are the sites structured to house sows during the periods of fertilization, gestation, during farrowing and lactation; in fact, piglets at this stage, are kept with their mother until weaning age.

owned breeding farms
Breeding farms
When they begin to be fed solid feed, the weaned piglets are transferred to dedicated facilities to continue growth.
Growth from 6-7 kg goes up to about 170 kg and during which the animals' needs therefore change considerably, especially in terms of space and microclimate.

For this reason, there are two types of growth farms: sites for the initial phase, known as the lean-to, and sites for the later phase, managed with the utmost respect for biosecurity procedures and equipped with environmental enrichment so that the animals can express their natural behaviors.

Food processing plants
Our integrated pork supply chain includes the plants where the second-processing processes take place, including, in particular, the flavoring and cooking of meat to produce cooked, whole or sliced hams within contamination-controlled environments.
Distribution
We also personally take care of the point-of-sale delivery of Lenti specialties, ensuring optimal logistics and cold chain management, thanks to the automated warehouse and a consistently efficient shipping organization.

Our commitment to the farms

In the last ten years we have drastically reduced the use of antibiotics in our supply chains - down to 97 percent in chicken and 89 percent in turkey - resorting to them only when necessary and only for therapeutic purposes, as per regulations, under veterinary supervision and even respecting suspension periods longer than those required by law, to ensure the absence of residues in the products.

In addition, thanks to the most advanced zootechnical practices, in all our premium poultry lines, Il Campese, Quality 10+ and BIO, animals are raised without any use of antibiotics.
